Visit from the Gilchrist Family

About a week ago we had Andrew's family here for a visit. Andrew was in an opera for school so they came out to see his performances, but mostly they came out to see Grayer!!! (Who can blame them, right?) We had lots of fun touring Knoxville. We went on walks, went on a riverboat ride, went to World's Fair Park, went out to eat, went to the Chocolate Factory, went to the Rossini Street Festival, which is basically like a fair, we did go-cart rides, and we went to the Ripley Aquarium in Gatlinburg!! Here are some pictures of our adventures!! Thanks for coming Mom, Dad, and Molli we had lots of fun!
p.s. I'll post pictures and a video clip of Andy in the opera soon!! He did a great job, it was really fun to see him perform!

Pictures of Grayer!

I was going through our pictures and found some cute ones of Grayer that I haven't posted! I think most of these are about when he is 3 months old. He is almost 4 months now so I'm a bit behind but better late than never. I also was lucky enough to get Grayer laughing and to catch it on video. I don't know how to edit the video so after a few seconds I got kind of crazy with the camera trying to keep him laughing - sorry:)!!! Enjoy our cute little man!!

Happy Birthday Andy!!

Last week was Andy's 27th birthday!! We didn't do much to celebrate because he had rehearsal until 11:30pm:( The opera is this weekend and so he has been VERY VERY busy. Andy's parents are here visiting so we are going to celebrate his birthday with them after the opera is over with. So I will post more about his birthday celebration later!! But for now here are some pictures of Andy on his birthday before he left for class!!

3 GREAT TRIPS

March was a very busy month for us and so far April has been too. The highlights amongst our business have been 3 great weekend trips to visit family. We first ventured to Cincinnati, OH, then we were off to Charlotte, NC, and last made a quick stop in Bloomington, IN for Easter weekend!! Read on for more details of each trip!

Cincinnati, OH

My Mom and Dad flew out for a visit with my sister Megan and her family in Bloomington, IN and we all decided it would be fun to meet up in Cincinnati and tour a new city. Justin, Megan’s husband, actually used to live in Cincinnati so he was a our tour guide!
We went to this amazing grocery store called Jungle Jim’s that has everything you could possibly dream of. Things such as camel steaks, wax lips, a 200 lb block of cheese, an olive bar, a bottle of hot sauce that costs $2,000 and last the finest award winning restrooms in America! This place has it all!!! We treated ourselves to Graeter’s Ice Cream and of course we had to have some Cincinnati Chili at Skyline Chili. We went to Krohn Conservatory a place where part of the movie Airborne was filmed and also walked along the Ohio River.
We had a GREAT time in Cincinnati!!!

Charlotte, NC

My sister-in-law, Melinda, and her two boys came out East for a visit. We met them at my brother Rob’s house in Charlotte, NC. We had such a fun and relaxing time just staying home and being with each other. We played the Wii fit, we watched the movie Bolt, we ate amazing food which is something you never go without when Flori is the cook, and I think the best part was staying up late and talking. Grayer loved all the attention he got from everyone there!!
I am so mad at myself I did not take one picture all weekend.
But even still we had a GREAT time in Charlotte!!!

Bloomington, IN

Andy got the whole Easter weekend off of rehearsals so we decided it would be fun to go visit Megan, Justin, and Maggie in Bloomington, IN. I was sad to be missing all of the Easter festivities back home in Idaho so it was fun to have someone to celebrate Easter with.
Events of the weekend included: going to the farmer’s market, going to the Lily Library on IU Campus where we got to see an original edition of The Book of Mormon, going to a great Turkish restaurant for lunch, going to Chocolate Moose a great little ice cream shack, doing an Easter egg hunt, dying eggs, doing the Easter egg roll which I almost won but Megan took victory away from me, going swimming this was Grayer’s first swim he wasn‘t so sure if he liked it or not, and of course going to church on Sunday and hearing the wonderful Easter music and then having an amazing Easter dinner!!
We had a GREAT time in Bloomington!!!
