VALENTINES

Okay so this post is a little behind the times, but I wanted to post anyway because we had a great Valentines Celebration!!

On Valentines Day itself, Andy was home sick (big bummer for him) but secretly I was happy, not because he was sick but because I got to have him home with me all day long! It actually worked out pretty good because I had planned to make a nice dinner at home rather than go out to eat, so even though Andy was sick it really didn't ruin any V-day plans. For dinner we had.... Lobster Ravioli with vodka sauce, steamed Artichokes with lemon and butter for dipping, and for dessert chocolate covered Strawberries! It was DELISH!!!

Then, this past weekend we ended our celebrations by going to a Renee Fleming concert!! It was soooooo cool! For those of you who do not know who Renee Fleming is, she is the number 1 soprano in the world!! She grew up here in Rochester and graduated from Eastman. She came back to do a benefit concert for the Eastman School of Music. We had a wonderful time together. We got a baby-sitter for Grayer and went and enjoyed a night of excellent music, what a treat!!

I am so lucky to have a great hubby to share my love with!! Love you Andrew!

Our Favorite Doctor!

While we were home in Idaho for Christmas break we decided to take Grayer into my Dad for his 2 year well child check! We don't have a doctor here in New York yet so it was perfect timing to be home so that Grandpa could make sure all was well!! This was our second time seeing Dr. Grandpa for a well child, the first time was when Grayer was about a week old.

THEN
Stats:
weight - 8.3 lbs (56%)
length - 22 inches (97%)

NOW
Stats:
weight - 25.6 lbs (24%)
length - 33.2 inches (28%)

I should have taken the pictures before the shots hence Grayer's grouchy face!

Thanks Grandpa for being the best there is!

GRAYER TURNS 2: Part II

Well, it is now official our little baby boy is 2 years old! I know technically he is not a baby anymore but I am a Mother in denial and he will always be my baby!!! Time has flown by and now all of the sudden we have a 2 year old -- WHAT?? -- Can't believe it!

We did our big family party for him back in Idaho which was a blast, but we also had so much fun celebrating his birthday with just our family of 3!!

We started the day off with the birthday door tradition.

Checking out the loot.

Can you imagine? He had no interest in getting his picture taken:)

He finally got what he wanted! Yes, I know he is eating candy before breakfast but hey it was his birthday!!

Next we went downstairs for presents.

He took the balloon and did a little dance with it -- it was funny!

After a yummy breakfast of English Pancakes,
we headed off to an indoor play place here in Rochester called "The Sandbox."

And later that night we had cake and ice cream!

We love you Grayer and are so glad that you came to our family 2 years ago. You are the best little boy and you bring us SO much Joy!! Happy Birthday Son!

GRAYER TURNS 2: Part I

While planning our trip home to Idaho we had to make sure we made it back to New York before Grayer turned 2, that way we wouldn't have to pay for a plane ticket!! Therefore, we ended up leaving Idaho 2 days before Grayer's 2nd birthday, but since it was so close we decided it would be fun to have an early birthday party for him so that our families could help us celebrate our cute little boy!! We started the party out at Arctic Circle where Grayer and his cousins enjoyed playing on the toys in between bites of their dinner! We then went to my parent's house for presents, cake, and ice cream!! Grayer was thrilled to have so much attention and to get to open up his presents. Thanks everyone for coming and celebrating with us!!

Pig, Sheep, and Chick Cupcakes

Grayer's Pig Cake (originally I was only going to do cupcakes but I had some left over batter and decided to make Grayer his own little cake)

Surprisingly he waited to blow out the candles while we sang Happy Birthday to him, you can tell he is a bit anxious though!!

Blowing...

Success!!! He wanted us to keep lighting the candles so he could blow them out again!

CHRISTMAS GALORE

For Christmas this year we had the wonderful opportunity to travel home to Idaho to see family!! We had such an amazing time, it was hard to leave when the time came to come back home. We are lucky to have both my family and Andy's family close together because it allows us to see both families when we come home to visit. Here is the break down of our Christmas Celebrations....

Flying Home... The Rochester airport had a great little kids area to play in while we waited for our flight!

Christmas Eve... That day we went sledding and had a "winter picnic" at the park. I didn't get any pictures of the picnic but I sure did get some fun ones of us sledding.

That night we had a relaxed Italian dinner of pizza and pasta and then had our usual Christmas Program. I guess I am always too busy stuffing my face to worry about taking pictures during our meals because again there are no pictures of dinner. But, I did get a few of the program!

This is our cute Nativity, Grayer was supposed to be the Donkey but he wouldn't cooperate.

This is the best we got of our little Donkey
